The County Engineer shared a "State of the County" discussion with the Board of Supervisors with an update on road and bridge condition countywide. He reported that revenues are remaining static at a time when road and bridge needs are increasing. He recognized citizen complaints about pavement and bridge condition and where shortfalls for construction are occurring. He shared with the Board potential for increasing revenue and recommended targeting specific projects for any additional revenue raised. New projects will be identified during the budget review process and the Board will determine whether to increase property taxes to fund additional project work
The Board and County Engineer welcome public comment on the report. The slides shared by the county engineer are attached to this story.
