As a property owner you have rights. If you do not agree with the value the assessor has placed on your property, you should call or stop into the office. You can help yourself and your assessor by making sure the information on file is accurate. The assessor's office staff should be able to answer your questions about your assessed value and explain how to appeal if you cannot come to an agreement.
The protest period is April 2 thru April 30. Protests must be in our office on or before April 30 and must be postmarked April 30 if returning by mail.
If you would like an informal review of your property, that is available April 2 thru April 25.
If you would like to proceed to the protest form please answer the following question:
Did you receive a 2016 Assessment roll in the mail?
