Invitation to Public Hearing

 Woodbury Project # IM-029-6(278)139—13-97

You are invited to attend a Public Hearing on February 27, 2020, between 4 and 6 p.m. at the Sergeant Bluff Community Center, 903 Topaz Dr., in Sergeant Bluff. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the proposed I-29 interchange approximately 2.5 miles South of the Woodbury County Road D-38 interchange at Sergeant Bluff. The Iowa DOT would like to gather public feedback on the environmental documentation, preferred alternative, and potential impacts related to the planned highway improvements. The environmental assessment is now available to review at the Sergeant Bluff Public Library, 401 4th St., in Sergeant Bluff, and will be available for review during the public hearing and online https://iowadot.gov/ole/NEPA-Compliance/NEPA-documents/Interstate-29-Southbridge-Interchange.

The public hearing will be conducted using a combined open forum and formal format. During the open forum, from 4 to 4:45 p.m., Iowa DOT staff will be present to informally discuss the project. After the open forum, a formal presentation will be displayed beginning at 4:45 p.m. and followed by a question-and-answer session. Persons wishing to make a formal statement or ask questions will need to note that at the time of registration. There will be a three-minute limit per speaker during the question-and-answer session. Oral and written statements will be accepted during both the open forum and the formal session.

All persons interested in the project are invited to attend this hearing. The meeting room is accessible for persons with disabilities. However, if you require special accommodations at the meeting, please notify me, upon receipt of this letter. More information is available on the DOT’s website, which is periodically updated as new information becomes available: www.iowadot.gov/pim. Prior to the public hearing, please be sure to check the website in case the public hearing is cancelled and rescheduled due to inclement weather. Comments and questions concerning the proposed project should be received by March 9, 2020 and can be submitted online at http://bit.ly/iowadot6546 or sent to:
