The normal appeal period is from April 2 to April 30. A stipulated agreement may be able to be reached with the Assessor's office between April 2 to April 25. Please call our office at 712-279-6535 and ask to speak to the appraiser handling your area.

You may return your petition by mail or email to the following address:

If after speaking to an appraiser you need to file an appeal form, please download and complete the form "Petition to Local Board of Review" (only available during appeal dates) and return it to our office. Online Appeal Program

To assist in the process, the Sioux City Assessor has put into action an online appeal program. Property owners will have to search for their property on the Beacon Website first before an appeal can be started (this is a pre-populated form). Click on the link, enter the property you wish to appeal and navigate towards the bottom of the property information. Right above the photo, there should be a blue box labeled "Board of Review Petition". Click on that button and follow the directions to fill out your appeal.

If after you have appealled to the local Sioux City Board of Review and you wish to begin the next step, visit the PAAB website or file with the District Court.
