To schedule a civil ceremony with a judge call Court Administration at 712-279-6608. When prompted press 2 for Court Administration Scheduling; when prompted press 1 for Court Administration and Scheduling; and when prompted press 4 to get to speak to Stacy, the scheduling person.

Civil ceremonies held during the workday at a court facility with a judicial officer are free to the public. Civil ceremonies scheduled with other officiants or scheduled for other times/locations may charge a fee. It is up to the parties to negotiate the fee with the officiant.

The Code of lowa, Section 595.10, provides that, in addition to judges, the following individuals may solemnize a marriage: "A person ordained or designated as a leader of the person's religious faith."
