NOVEMBER 10, 2005 - SPECIAL MEETING OF THE WOODBURY COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

The Board of Supervisors met on Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. to canvass the City of Bronson Regular City Election of November 8, 2005. Board members present were Clausen, Monson, and Walish. Batcheller and Boykin were absent. Staff members present were Victoria L. Ritz, Deputy Commissioner of Elections, and Patrick F. Gill, Auditor/Clerk to the Board.

Meeting was called to order.

Victoria L. Ritz, Deputy Commissioner of Elections, announced there were no provisional ballots and there were no after election absentee ballots to be added to the Talley.

The votes were as follows:
For the office of City of Bronson Mayor there were fifty-four (54) ballots cast as follows:
Ava M. Lewon
received Thirty-one (31) votes

Mike Laughlin W/I
received Sixteen (16) votes

Bill Ross W/I
received Seven (7) votes

We therefore declare Ava M. Lewon duly elected to the office of City of Bronson Mayor, for the term of two (2) years.


For the office of City of Bronson Council Members (3 Vacancies) there were fifty-six (56) ballots cast as follows:

David Amick
received Fifty-one (51) votes

Michael A. Rader
received Forty-five (45) votes

Jason Ross
received Forty-seven (47) votes

Scattered Write-Ins
received Four (4) votes

We therefore declare David Amick, Michael A. Rader, and Jason Ross duly elected to the office of City of Bronson Council Members, for the term of four (4) years.

Motion by Monson second by Clausen to accept the official canvass from the Regular City Election of November 8, 2005 for the City of Bronson, which was being canvassed due to being under the run off method of election. Carried 3-0.

The Board adjourned the meeting.
