Minutes - 11/7/2013 - Special Meeting

NOVEMBER 7, 2013-SPECIAL MEETING OF THE WOODBURY COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS The Board of Supervisors met on Thursday, November 7, 2013, at 2:00 p.m.  Board members present were Boykin, Clausen, Smith, and Tripp; Monson was absent.  Staff members present were Patrick F. Gill, Auditor/Clerk to the Board and Steve Hofmeyer, Deputy Commissioner of Elections.

The meeting was called to order to canvass the Bronson Election held in Woodbury County on November 5, 2013.

Steve Hofmeyer, Deputy Commissioner of Elections, announced there were no after-election ballots which were not timely postmarked, and were not added to the tally.  Official Canvass results were as follows:

City of Bronson Mayor

Dave Amick   Received eighteen (18) votes

Scattering   Zero (0) votes

TOTAL    Eighteen (18) votes 

We therefore declare Dave Amick duly elected for the office of City of Bronson Mayor for the term of 2 years.

City of Bronson Council Member

Lisa Crilly   Received thirteen (13) votes

Jason Garnand   Received fifteen (15) votes

Patrick G. Wordekemper  Received nineteen (19) votes

Scattering   One (1) votes

TOTAL    Forty-eight (48) votes

We therefore declare Lisa Crilly, Jason Garnand, and Patrick G. Wordekempter duly elected for the office of City of Bronson Council Member for the term of 4 years.

City of Bronson Council Member-Vacancy

Tony Thompson   Received nineteen (19) votes

Scattering   Zero (0) votes

TOTAL    Nineteen (19) votes

We therefore declare Tony Thompson duly elected for the office of City of Bronson Council Member-Vacancy for the term of 2 years.

Motion by Boykin second by Smith to approve and accept the Official Canvass results.  Carried 4-0.  Copy filed.

The Board adjourned the meeting.
