MARCH 31, 2026, SPECIAL MEETING OF THE WOODBURY COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.  Board members present were Bittinger II, Nelson, Ung, Carper, and Dietrich.  Staff members present were Karen James, Board Administrative Assistant, Ryan Ericson, Budget and Finance Director, Joshua Widman, Assistant County Attorney, Melissa Thomas, HR Director, and Michelle Skaff, Auditor/Clerk to the Board.     

A public hearing was held at 4:00 p.m. for proposed property tax levy for FY 26-27. Copy filed.

Motion by Nelson second by Bittinger to receive updated proposed tax impact document from Budget Director Ericson. Carried 5-0. Copy filed.

Bret Hayworth, Iowa Public Radio, addressed the board regarding the calculations on the budget mailer. 

Dan Heissel, Woodbury County Conservation Director, addressed the board regarding the budget process. 

Motion by Bittinger second by Nelson to close the public hearing. Carried 5-0.

The Board adjourned the special meeting.
